U.S. History:
Today we began reading Chapter 15 in our textbook. This entire chapter discusses the years leading up to the Civil War. Our lawmakers were gridlocked over how to deal with the issue of Slavery, and the South felt that tax laws favored the North as well as helped pay for internal improvements there.
Aside from reading the text, we will also be watching two of the President’s Videos from our History Channel Series.
Homework: 15-1 guided reading (although students will be given ample time to do this in class.)
