Hey Gang, As the year progresses I will try to add new and exciting goodies to the website both for fun and for productivity. I have now installed my Text Alert Plug-in. Parents, if you’re reading this…..the Text Alerts are for you!!! I will send out alerts for important homework assignments, notification for upcoming tests, etc. Just another way for you to keep track of all this homework.
Please keep in mind that although I won’t fill your phone with a bunch of messages (2 per week maybe), that standard text rates apply. So if you don’t have a texting plan, it would be best if you didn’t sign up. The beauty of the whole thing is, you can “unsubscribe” at any time. If you subscribe and then decide you don’t like it….just hit the “unsubscribe” link in the SMS sign-up box and you can get out of it. You can also send me an email and let me know to clear you from my registry.

Pictures Say A Thousand Words

Digital Productions class can encompass many forms of media. We have a wide range of topics we could explore, and virtually limitless items to learn about. During the beginning of the year we will be paying special attention to our photography skills. For many of us, including myself, photography is simply a “point and shoot” affair. Sometimes, pictures lack intention and creativity. However, in order to produce a quality yearbook, we must become very intentional with our picture taking. The more creative we can be with our pictures, the better our yearbook will be received in the spring.
Pay close attention in the next few weeks as we discuss lighting, flash, and focus. Though I am no pro, I think together we can snap some memorable pictures. Who knows, maybe someday you’ll be shooting pictures for National Geographic like this one!
